Greetings from the owner/operator of ENCtranscripts™. I am a seven-year veteran
court reporter from the Washington D.C. area, recently moved to Lenoir County in North Carolina.
Before relocating I served as a freelance court reporter/transcriber, working mostly with the Maryland court systems and doing a lot of federal court reporting in Washington. I have reported and typed up thousands of pages of the U.S.
Congressional Record, dozens of federal meetings and hearings, as well as thousands of pages of depositions for the Attorney General for the state of Maryland. I have reported and transcribed depositions for hundreds of civil suits, medical malpractice, expert witness testimony, public hearings, corporate meetings, you name it.
I've never been late with my transcripts, and I've never failed to get the recording. Making excuses is not my style. Professional demeanor and respect for the task at hand is. I am the court reporter of this company, and I mostly do all my own transcription too, but have a few associates to type for me if things get too busy. :)

We are a North Carolina-based company and can provide transcription for anyplace in the United States but only provide court reporting services here, due to notary licensing provisions. Should you determine that a North Carolina reporter can report and notarize a transcript for your case (for example, should your local courts permit the deposition be taken here OR if you are interested in business transcription/recording services anywhere in the United States) I will be happy to serve, but I leave it to your expertise as to whether my transcript can be used in your court.
Additional Details about Verbatim Court Reporting
We, as verbatim reporters, record the exact words spoken. We do not correct
client's grammar, nor adjust for bad speaking habits. Slang and
colloquial usage will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. For
instance, should you hire us to take the deposition of somebody who speaks with
a thick accent or has a speech impediment, our reporter may feel obliged to
occasionally pause proceedings and request clarification of a phrase. And
similarly, a public speaker may wonder why we don't correct his grammar for
him. Our job is to reflect with perfect accuracy what words are spoken,
no matter how well or poorly. As NVRA-approved court reporters, we are
answerable to the Courts for the accuracy of our transcripts.
